Korea University Off-Campus Housing

Many foreign students at KU live off campus, in the neighborhoods around Anam Station (안암역) and Korea University Station (고려대역), both on Line 6. The area — known as the Anam neighborhood — is lively, student-oriented, and well-connected to the rest of Seoul.

Why the Anam Area Works Well for Students

Seongbuk-gu has a distinctly campus-town feel, shaped almost entirely by Korea University's presence. Goryeo Street (고려대길) and the alleys around it are packed with student restaurants, cafes, study spaces, and bars. It's livelier than Gwanak-gu (near SNU) but less overwhelming than Hongdae. The area also has good access to Bukhansan Mountain for weekend hikes.
