Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) Housing: A Complete Guide for Foreign Students

Planning to study at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS)? Whether you're enrolling in the Korean Language Program, starting a degree, or arriving in Seoul for the first time, this guide covers HUFS tuition fees, on-campus dorm options, and what to expect from off-campus housing near HUFS — with verified prices from official sources.

How Much Does HUFS Cost?

HUFS is a private university, so tuition is higher than public institutions. Costs vary depending on your program.

Korean Language Program (한국어문화교육원 / CKLC)

HUFS runs its Korean language program through the Center for Korean Language and Culture (CKLC / 한국어문화교육원). Each regular semester runs 10 weeks, Monday to Friday, 4 hours per day.

💡 Classes for levels 1–2 run in the afternoon (13:30–17:20), while levels 3–6 run in the morning (09:00–13:00). Factor this in when planning your housing search and daily schedule.

Degree Programs (학부 / 대학원)

Undergraduate and graduate tuition at HUFS varies by department and is updated each year. For exact figures, contact the HUFS International Admissions team at admingraduate@hufs.ac.kr or visit https://international.hufs.ac.kr

As with most universities in Seoul, housing is often the bigger monthly expense once you're enrolled — and the harder thing to plan before you arrive.

Does HUFS Have Dorms?

Yes — HUFS language program students can apply for on-campus dormitory housing through the Global Hall (국제학사), managed separately from the CKLC office.
